Sparkling Wine Cocktails

Sparkling wine cocktails are my go-to when I want something that feels fancy but doesn’t require complicated techniques. The bubbles do half the work for you, making even simple cocktail recipes feel celebratory.

I’m not talking about mimosas with grocery store orange juice (only fresh-squeezed orange juice around here, thank you very much). These are spritzers and French 75s made with simple syrups infused with herbs, tea, and seasonal fruit that complement the wine rather than cover it up.

The trick with sparkling wine drinks is using something dry (brut or extra brut) so you don’t end up with a sugar bomb.

I keep Cava or Prosecco on hand because they’re affordable and work in pretty much every recipe here. These cocktails span all seasons, from light spring cocktails with elderflower to cozy winter cocktails with smoked tea.

Add fresh cocktail garnishes like herbs or citrus wheels, and you’ve got drinks that look like they took way more effort than they actually did.
