I started making cocktails at home because I got tired of paying $18 for drinks (and I see you $27 cocktail in Downtown LA!) that weren’t even that good. What I learned is that the best cocktail recipes aren’t complicated.
They use fresh ingredients, quality spirits, and simple syrups you can make in 10 minutes. I’m a home bartender who loves experimenting with seasonal fruit, herbs from my garden, and unexpected flavor combinations that actually work.
These aren’t your typical cocktail recipes. I don’t do the same Old Fashioned everyone else makes. I’m more interested in drinks that use ingredients you might not expect, like smoked tea, cardamom, persimmon, and blood orange.
Some of these are winter cocktails perfect for cold nights, others are summer cocktails made for patio season. All of them are tested, tweaked, and easy enough to make on a weeknight.
If you want drinks that taste like they came from a bar but don’t require bartending school, you’re in the right place.
